Proud of how far I’ve come. Started at above 120 and now I’m closer to my high school weight (105-110) at 113. I haven’t been this in shape since I quit gymnastics. I joined a Dietbet and lost 4% of my weight. I’ve started running a mile or more everyday and just making healthier choices. I don’t really care about the numbers on the scale. I’m just more proud of making a change and getting back to what I used to have as a gymnast.

Let’s see what a month can do.

So I’ve committed myself to workout out every day, well 6 days. I’ve been following the Blogilates calendar. I’ve also started to try and choose better snacks. Carrots and hummus is my new thing. Because it’s a new month I decided to take a picture of my body and measure it. I’m curious if I notice any changes at the end of the month and how much.

Over spring break I did the blogilates dvd 5 out of 7 days. Today I started following the calendars put out by cassey at blogilates again. Did the full workout for today. Stil have to do the mile run. Unfortunately, my foot is already causing problems. i really need to get an appt for it.

Today is day 1 of jumping back on the fitness bandwagon. Unfortunately what ever is wrong with my foot started acting up again and forced me to stop. I was actually doing well for a while. Spring break starts in a week for my and my personal goal is to workout at least 5 days (mostly because I’ll have the time). One of my classes will be done which will also make it easier to balance working out and eating better. 18 credits is a lot to try and work around, especially when you have classes that go until almost 10pm. I want to be able to run a 5k in June without dying. So getting back in shape isn’t optional. I’ve also noticed my back has started to get bad again. Hopefully doing my blogilates and yoga will help that problem and not make me have to see a chiropractor again. I’m going to actually start using this blog instead of it being an after thought.

Workout: 1hr blogilates dvd

ATTENTION ALL GIRLS: We ALL know that the lower stomach is one of the very hardest places to burn fat and tone.
These are some terrific exercises to do in the morning and at night to burn those hard to tone areas!
Do this every morning when you wake up, and every night before you sleep. I guarantee you’ll see results in a week flat!

Liking and reblogging for future reference!

Oh man, my old soccer coach used to make us do the top left one

Used to do these in ballet class.

Great way for us art vampires to stay in shape!Or if you just want reference for drawing characters exercising.

Anyone looking to track their food intake should consider trying fooducate. It tracks food, calories, foodpoints, exercise, and water. The best part is you can scan the barcode on your food and adjust the serving size. The app then calculates the calories and other nutritional information. I’m loving the app so far.

Allrecipes.com is easily one of the best recipe sites online.. but sifting through a million recipes to find yummy & healthy recipes can be hard. The healthy section has a lot of lol-worthy “healthy” options (cinnamon sugar pork rinds? are you serious? in the healthy section? ok.) & There’s a ton of great healthy recipes buried in other sections around the site. Here’s a list of some worth looking at!
PS - when you change the number of servings, it automatically scales the ingredients down for you!
Enjoy.
